We have had success with a product that gives an advantage to courses competing for corporate event bookings. A promotion can be offered to the tournament organizer based on a weather trigger that could negatively impact the event. For example, the contract could be structured so that if the temperature is 10 degrees below average or above average on the tournament date, or if there is a .25 inch of rain or more on tournament day, the money (or a portion of the money) will be refunded – any weather trigger can be used. These solutions are a powerful way to attract groups and corporate events.
